TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
My teaching philosophy has evolved considerably since the beginning of my teaching career, but one core principle has stayed constant: students learn best when they feel both challenged and cared for. Whether they are mastering the basics of 2D design, or experimenting with sophisticated animation techniques, I want all my students, whatever their backgrounds or skillsets, to progress through every project with unwavering guidance from me, and steadfast belief in themselves. As an educator and artist, I feel a dual responsibility to teach problem-solving through creative risk-taking, and to prepare my students for careers that tap a wide array of creative skills.
